A Salt Lake City native, David grew a passion for drawing because of cartoons. Whether it was an animated feature film like Disney or Studio Ghibli to Saturday morning cartoons like Pokemon and Batman Beyond, these artistic styles pushed and inspired David into the art of drawing and cartooning. Then in high school after taking a graphics class and learning the trade of silkscreen, a new world opened up to David, seeing how art can be applied to more than just a canvas. And the journey towards Graphic Design began.
In 2012, David left the city and spent half a year in the southern desert town of Torrey, Utah. The town sat next to Utah’s Capitol Reef National Park, and a new exploration of the landscape and beauty inspired David to draw and dabble in nature photography.
Now back in Salt Lake City and finishing up his Bachelor’s Degree in Graphic Design, David is now on the search to share his illustrations and stories, and friends who need help in the creative realm of design.
